All was at peace. A lone deer munched on flowers in the grasslands, occasionally peeking here and there just in case a predator lurked nearby. But there were none that it could see. Its wide brown eyes blinked with satisfaction and it enjoyed the feast before it. A rustle entered the deer's hearing. It stopped, perked its ears in every direction. Nothing. With a wary glance around, it bent its head back down and chewed slowly.
There was a flash of claws and teeth, a stripy orange something whacked the deer in the head, killing it before it could tuck its head between its legs and kiss its bum goodbye.
Pitiful. Simply pitiful. Deer were built for nothing but being easy to kill and being delicious. They served no purpose. The male flexed his huge paws, revealing long, wicked points that were dripping with blood. A smile cracked along the firy orange face. Such power he held within that simple appendage he possessed along with three others. Daedalus smirked and dug his teeth into the recently sliced open flesh, tearing it away in pieces and swallowing it whole. The tiger's chin was stained red. He licked it off, relishing every drop, before he dove back in and gorged himself.

[sorry, got distracted]
Dancing along, her pace quickened as she noticed Kane catching up with her. It was a race, and her voice seemed to laugh; carried on the twinklings of the stars above. All of a sudden, she came to a grinding halt as she charged headlong into another's kill. Triping, she tumbled to the ground. Silently cursing herself for her clumsyness, she jumped to her paws to apologise. Ears held back slightly, as her eyes drifted upon a great tiger, far larger than her brother. A siberian tiger.. Gulping silently, she pulled an innocent smile. "Sorry, Senor.. Lo siento. I didn't mean to- uh." She could have appeared more of a cub, then a Leader at that point, but Kida payed no mind.

Daedalus relished the meat he had caught, savoring every bite and swallowing with his eyes closed from bliss. He was alone, without any disturbances in the magical world of his life. With a satisfied purr, Daedalus yawned, exposing long, pointed teeth, made for the kill.
Just then, a flash of orange disrupted his meal, skidding to a halt not two tail-lengths away. An interesting tigeress sat stuttering apologies, her eyes wide. Or was it a cub? All of these miniature tigers were the same to him. An eyebrow raised as firy eyes scrutinized the female, looking her insignifigant little self up and down with a dignified air. He knew who she was. A leader, and a poor example at that. "Oh, no," He said in a voice that rumbled so deeply that a bird flew off a nearby tree in terror. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been doing the only thing I can do to survive in the way of your frolicking with your boyfriend." A loud, intimidating growl burned in the back of his throat, and hair raised on the back of his neck. Claws extended, digging into the ground under his paws, and his tail lashed back and forth.

He was over-reacting. Besides, she hadn't damaged the meat, just messed it up a bit. It damaged her more, as she rested lightly on a sprained paw. Catching his tone, she immediantly took up a more dignified pose. Standing as tall as her body would permit, she brought her tail high and regal. Her eyes, once innocent, turned harsh. "Forgive me, senor. I would tell you to watch your tone, however these are the lands with no ruler, so it would be wrong of me to assert myself as such. But in the future, watch it." Turning she made to leave, calling to Kane as she did so.

Did she honestly think herself intimidating with that statement? Did she think that Daedalus was moved by this? Daedalus had to stifle a laugh. Rolling firy eyes, the dwarf's words went in one ear and out the other. Who was Daedalus to care, anyway? The massive tiger only cared about himself, and only did things that benefitted himself. It was a simple, easy way to live. And this miniature femme hadn't exactly ruined it, really. She was really just a fly that required a proper swatting.
Daedalus lifted a bloodstained paw, large as a dinnerplate, and flexed it maliciously. Dark thoughts swam in his mind, and he decided to leave his kill for the birds. He was full, anyhow. Loping in long strides, the massive male made his way across the grassland and into the trees to think. To brood. To plan.
