Echo plodded on through the mountain snow. A blizzard ravaged around her, not only making it difficult to walk, but difficult to smell. Anyone could be stalking her, waiting for the right moment to pounce, but she would be ready. She had not wasted all her strenght on the climb to reach the peak. She was coated in snow now. The female shook her body and ignored her shivering.
Noticing a small hole in the side of the mountain, she decided to take shelter. She would hopefully be safe here. The gap wasn't small enough for a larger adult tiger. She shook her body again as she stepped through the hole. Inside was a cave, no more than 20 foot in length and 10 in height. Keeping alert she wandered to the back of the dark cave, hoping that no other animal had taken shelter in the darkness.
No other was there, but there was evidence that some other canivore had been there before the female. A deer carcus had been left to rot. It was relitavly fresh though. The female checked again around the cave. She was sure she was alone. She walked over to the dead deer, stepping into a pool of blood as she did so. Echo sat down and started to eat rapidly. Her mouth and paws now covered in thick crimson liquid.
When she finshed her meal, she licked away most of the blood. Then she layed down quietly at the back of the cave. After a while she nodded of to sleep...
