So, the tides had turned? Power had shifted throughout the lands. The leaders overthrown.. And now rumors of these alledged Outcasts, headed by a Siberian. Gossip. That's all it was, she was sure. With every step up the rocky slope, though some needing considerable concentration for safety, the white dove sauntered further into unknown territory. Dove? No.. She was no dove. For doves were docile and sweet. Just the sound they make: coo, coo...
No. She was no dove. She was cunning, vicious, malicious.. She was a raven. A trickster. A skeemer. Able to bend others to her will. And she loved every minute of it.
Growing tierd, White Raven came to a sliding halt, resting on an overhung boulder. Laying down for a moment, she rested her great head upon her paws. She was so hungry, having not eaten in so long. The food was scarce for a reason unknown to her. A good meal was hard to come by. Yawning, her pale blue optics overlooked the alleged Outcast lands with seething malice.

Such satisfaction had almost overcome him! These lands were his, and his alone. He had the authority to slash the throat of any intruders. Anyone who cared to question his power. This was delicious. The power was only a whet of his appetite. Maybe someday he would rule all the lands of the tigers. The king. King Daedalus. Lord Daedalus. Daedalus the Great. But were these not the fantasies of all young cubs? Perhaps. But the weak tigers who roamed these lands made the idea much more possible than thought at first.
A smirk entered the siberian's face as he spied the crag looming above him. He had been exploring these lands, marking his territory and memorizing the borders. The great mountain was the one place he had not ventured to yet.
Just as Daedalus was about to begin his ascent, the breeze carried a scent to him. It jolted his senses, hipnotized him. A female, of his own kind, no less! He leaped toward the source, feeling the scent growing stronger and stronger as he went along. And there she was, white as the snow, laying upon a boulder. She was gaunt from starvation. Then he remembered his territorial instincts. With a snarl, he leapt in front of her with hackles raised. "Lost, madam?" He growled.

Startled, as any sensible tiger would be in her position, she growled in return. Was this the beast all the other's had spoke of? Was this the King of these lands? Surely, he seemed strong abled, but what of his mind? Eyes as cold as the steal on a human's dagger, she bore her fangs in icy rebelion. "Oh no, I am not lost. I am meerly peering over these lands in search of a fabled new ruler. My curiosity, sir, is that of a cub. Forgive me if I intrude". Malice washed over her features. "Though I fancy these lands."

The fire of passion smoldered in Daedalus's eyes. "Fabled?" His voice rumbled low, like an earthquake. A smirk spread over the siberian's wide, handsome face. An amused, proud purr left his mouth and he began to circle her, his eyes now curious and attracted to this rare beauty. "This ruler you speak of is no fantasy. Would a fanciful character be speaking to you in the flesh right now?" The purr returned, and he raised a flirtatious eyebrow. "My land isn't the only thing fancied." He said cooly, sitting it front of her and curling his long tail around his powerful mits. "Daedalus, at your service, my lady."

Resting upon her haunches, the ivory hued vixen left her tail to explore on it's own; curling and swinging, brushing against the hard rock. The heat of the summer sun shone down upon her, causing her pelt to sparkle. Ah summer. A very important time in a young tigeress' life. For this was the time of mateing. She was sure this Daedalus knew this. But, she kept her composure, acting as if she couldn't care even if it were winter yet again.
Choosing to speak, after a hessitation for name's sake, her voice was proud and unwavering. "So then, my long journey was not in vain. I greet you, Master Daedalus. I was given the name Raven at birth, and so have come to be known as White Raven." Standing, she limberly lept down from the precepace and around to his backside. With a light purr that radiated from her soft, yet harsh, vocals, she looked upon him with awe. "I wish for acceptance, M'lord. If you'll have me."

The passionate fire that burned in the siberian's eyes lit, and it flamed with the radiance of the sun at the words of the ivory tigress. He blinked in disbelief, turning his wide, handsome face toward her. A tremor went down his spine, and Daedalus hoped that White Raven did not notice. With an almost undecipherable sigh, he opened a heavily fanged jaw, hesitating before he started to speak. "A pleasure, dear White Raven." His mouth dried, and with a quick lash of his tongue to wet his lips, he continued. "It would be an honor to have you as my Qu-" Daedalus stopped abrubtly, the skin on his face turning as red as the fur that adorned it. "That is, it would be an honor to have you in my pack." He almost stuttered again as he said this, and turned away, staring up at the mightly crag that loomed above them. He wondered what the tigress would say or do.

Her grin was swarmed with deep malice, though her years of training to hide such hate was well hidden. Hate, well prehaps it wasn't that severe. After all, this Siber was powerful, and she had no question of his leadership. No, she didn't hate him. She hated the weak. Weak was a poor term for her Master.
At that thought, her eyes narrowed for a blink second. Master, the very idea of such a title drove her to the brink of insanity. Why had she come so far, only to become someone's pet? But, if she wanted to get close to him, she'd have to use it. Then, once his trust was gained.. The lands would be her's! Kingship would fail, and her power would arise. A new Queen was to be named.
Excited by her dreams of conquring, her heart skiped a beat as she looked upon Daedalus. Suddenly, rage filled her mind. What was this crap!? Why was she allowing herself to be swooned by him? She was on a mission- the real reason for her travels. To find a sutible land, and this was it. Why couldn't she get it together?
Placing all these mixed emotions aside, she returned to her calm state. Mocking a smile with great skill, she spoke gently. "Thank you, M'lord. I am pleased to travel behind you." A lie. But she continued undaunted, "and what of the Bengals? This Diago and Kida that I have heard of? What are you plans for them?"
Suddenly, an idea popped into her head. She'd set Dae against the Bengals. Save her the trouble. Yes, this was going to work. But, she'd have to keep her cool, or she may still end up loosing her head to his claws.

The brute blinked smoldering eyes, confused at her mood. True, he was a dark and ruthless male, but he sensed the contempt in the femme's eyes. He looked away. "Remember that you are inferior to me. You may be part of my pack, but you must earn my trust to become Queen." Daedalus suddenly made eye contact with White Raven, his orbs a raging wildfire. "I have the authority to drive you out of my land. You must prove your loyalty before anything happens." He turned his back to her, gazing at the sunset. The end of his tail flicked silently back and forth. A negative vibe came from the tigress. But why? The names Diago and Kida came to the siberian's ears. "Ah, so those are their names. I have not met Diago quite yet. But you needn't worry about the other, Kida. I wounded her, so she must not be in fighting condition. And don't forget that they are merely bengals while we are siberians." He replied in a rumbling voice not unlike thunder in the distance.

Holding in a snarl, Raven's eyes flashed with hatred. Inferior! How she was urged to lunge at Daedalus.. Tear his throat open for the world to witness. No, it wasn't the right time. Holding in her seething anger, she respectfully bowed to him. "My King."
What was she to do now? Slink away into the darkness again? No, she'd remain here. With her Lord. Her eyes washed over his mighty build. Prehaps an alliance would be a safer rute for her.. "What shall we do with ourselves now, m'lord?

The unenthusiastic tone of White Raven's voice was piercing. The only thing Daedalus never got in his life was love. Evil tigers were capable of loving, given a good reason. He had seen the weak tigress with her love, and jealousy pulsed through his veins. True, he did not love this ivory tigress, but her presence in his pack was no more soothing than the state of loneliness. The fire in Dae's eyes burnt out with a wash of sadness. The only love he had ever felt was for his sister, long, long ago. He remembered her only faintly. A tiny, nursing kit curled next to their mother, so delicate, so small. The siberian was not sure if his sister was still alive, or even remembered him. But he loved his sister, and suddenly was compelled to find her. But not now. He would have to deal with this hurtful tigress. Eyes dull and barely blinking, he turned back. "Leave if you must. I know you do not care to stay in the slightest." He said simply, and stalked off without hesitation.

White Raven lunged foward, not to attack, but to follow. She couldn't explain the feeling, for she had never felt it before now. But she had to be with him. His presence was calming, if at best. Then, the words sliped out of her mouth without her thinking them, "I don't want to leave! I want to stay.. With you." Embarassed, she lowered her eyes and stoped walking. Staying still, she watched the sliding rocks as they cascaded off the mountain like water down the falls. What was wrong with her? She couldn't let herself be mislead.. Never could she love another. Never........((Got tierd of the small font. ))

{{lol. all the html stuffs get pretty old after a while. }} Daedalus blinked in confusion. She wanted to stay? With him? He stopped walking and looked directly back at her. The brand of fire was still not as strong, but there was a miniscule spark that could be seen in his eyes. His brow furrowed in disbelief. The siberian padded back up toward her, sitting silently before the ivory maiden. Lifting a massive paw, he nudged her chin upward and gazed into her sky colored eyes. He searched for any trace of lies in her, but only saw embarrassment and fear. Daedalus said nothing, moving not a muscle.

Pained by her sudden show of weakness, Raven moved her head from Dae's paw. Glaring at her forepaws, she fought back the tears of embarassment. Tail flicking in anxiety, Raven turned and began her hike down the mountain. Alone. What had she done? This emotion wasn't part of the plan. Focus. Looking to the sky, she paused a moment to glance behind her.

Confused and speechless, Daedalus was caught off his guard. He turned away from her retreating ivory form and made his way down the opposite side of the mountain. What went on inside her head? he thought to himself. The siberian stared down at his paws during his descent, watching them fall onto the rocks in silence. He needed to think. Disappearing into the forest, without turning back, he blinked in dismay. Then, without thinking or hesitating, Daedalus broke into a run, dashing faster than he thought he could. Deer saw him and bolted, but he outran them and ran deeper and deeper into his forest, feeling more alone than he ever had before.
