Hunting on Desperation

A lithe, white frame moved slowly along the edges of the meadow, blue eyes searching and locking onto a larger target than Deity had expected to find. She grinned, the deer were slowed by the cold air and were less than alert.
The grasses were sprinkled with snow and the ground below them was covered in it, helping keep her bright white coat hidden from her prey's gaze. She moved slowly, staying low to the ground, her eyes never leaving the deer she had chosen as her target. The others could move as much as they wanted, but this one was going nowhere.
Her large paws were placed with special care, finding places where the snow was already well packed and wouldn't squeak under her weight.
As one, all the deer's head jerked up, but they stood still, as did the white tiger stalking them. Slowly they began to feel safe again and went back to grazing the meagre pickings. Deity, once more, began her slow journey towards them.
Again, their heads came up, but this time, they did not go down, a coughing bark got them all running. Deity ,oved with them, leaping up from hiding and running full out after them, her tail straight out and twirling behind her, offering balance.
As she closed in she smiled and leapt, powerful hind legs carrying her up and forward to land on top of the deer. Her sharp teeth dug deep into its neck and her paws held on as she used her weight to drag it to the ground.
When it landed on its side, it went limp and stopped moving, though she knew it was simply in shock from the pain, and waiting for the hunter to have mercy and kill it swiftly, she obliged.

A long trail of blood could be seen and the footprints of a tiger that was dragging something quite heavy behind it. That was all that remained of the hunt.

Ah glorious day, is it not? Peaceful thoughts drifted among the copper femmes mind. Her paws slunk into the snow as she loped along, she bent down and nosed the snow, lifting it into the air and balancing it on her tail. These antics left nothing to be desired as for a split second watched the hunt unfold, and disappear. She silently followed the trail, slunking low and brushing off the snow as she walked, leaving a trail of sunkissed grass in her wake. She stopped and watch an almost invisible femmora with her prey. Akasha had managed to gorge on a rabbit, and was mildly satisified, and in such a light mood she wasn't very hungry
